Nadine Johansen

Manager, Office Services

Catholic Relief Services – Headquarters

Baltimore, MD

Dear Mrs. Hoffberger,

Catholic Relief Services would like to thank you and your team for the excellent work in the relocation of our Headquarters office plus a secondary office. It wasn’t easy to relocate 400 employees and nine floors at Headquarters plus the secondary office without mishap, but your crew accomplished this feat without loss or damage. This relocation involved furniture, files, computers, audio/visual equipment, a library, artwork, antiques and storage. It took place in the middle of Baltimore City where parking and traffic are not optimal. We appreciate the special attention given to packing the delicate art work and computers, the labeling instructions, and the time you provided for a seminar to instruct our staff, the use of your warehouse for storing and painting file cabinets, and especially the flexibility in accommodating changes of schedule and the added task of clearing the old building of all systems furniture and remaining items after the move was completed.

The move could not have gone better and our employees were delighted on their first day of work when they found all of their crates and computer equipment in their offices ready to be unpacked. This was not a simple relocation and, quite frankly, many of our people were expecting problems. They were truly amazed that such a complex job could be made to look so simple.

Again, thanks to you and your wonderful team. Catholic Relief Services owes you a debt of gratitude for your efforts on our behalf.

Sincerely,
Nadine Johansen

Construction Project Manager

Johns Hopkins University – School of Medicine

Baltimore, MD

Hoffberger Moving Services has worked on numerous small and large move projects over the entire Johns Hopkins University, School of Medicine campus. The moves were as small as a one-person office to relocation of all of the occupants, both office and lab staff, in four new multi-story research buildings. They have moved in excess of 300 labs and nearly 1,000 personnel occupying over 1 million square feet of labs and office spaces.

Hoffberger Moving Services arrives promptly at scheduled times, and they have provided the University with experience, competitive pricing, excellent service and quality work.  The courteous staff has always been careful, cooperative, and adjusted easily to the inevitable last minute changes. They understand how to conduct themselves in a hospital environment, maintaining sensitivity to patients and staff while comprehending the logistics of a hospital.

Michael S. Hoffberger, one of the principals of the company, has always provided a ‘hands on’ involvement with each and every move, providing proposals, pre-move planning and move instructions. In most cases, he has personally been on-site for the moves directing and working side by side with the move team and staff.

I would not hesitate to recommend Hoffberger Moving Services for any relocation project.

Sincerely,
Gil Morris

To: Elsa Scalise
GE Commercial Finance
Hunt Valley, Maryland

Elsa,

As recently discussed, I just wanted to drop you a quick note about Hoffberger Moving Services who moved your GE –Hunt Valley, Maryland offices.  HMS won the job through competitive bidding (we sent out 6 RFPs), and even though they were a local company and they were the low bidder, they performed as well as a national/international chain with far fewer hassles.

The move team was on time (even ahead of schedule) for both the preliminary move on Thursday and the second main move on Friday evening. They arrived with plenty of trucks, men, and equipment and their movers were very cordial to GE employees and the general public. The company’s owners, a husband and wife team, even joined in the mix helping their crew move the crates and equipment!

We finished ahead of schedule on both evenings, and the owners never asked for a change in the work-scope or a change order.

In the 25 plus years I have been assisting clients with their moves, I can honestly say that Hoffberger Moving Services is one of the BEST move companies I have worked with, and I would HIGHLY recommend that GE put this company within their AP database and try to utilize their services within the greater Washington D.C./Maryland/Virginia region.

Thank you,
Mike Waits

Dear Michael,

I want to let you know how much I appreciate all of your help with the deinstallation and moving of our IT equipment and office furniture to our main headquarters in Washington, D.C.  Your staff was very helpful and professional and went beyond the scope of our agreement to assist me with the relocation effort.  I was on a very short timeline and under a lot of stess to make sure the move was completed on time.  As you promised me, you came through and completed this work in exceptional fashion.

Thanks again to you and your staff,

BARCS – Hurricane Sandy Evacuation

Baltimore, Maryland

The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS) is grateful to its next-door neighbor, Hoffberger Moving Services LLC, for being there for us during Hurricane Sandy. Because of the shelter’s location near the water, BARCS’ staff made the decision to evacuate over 300 animals to a temporary location at 7:00am the morning of the storm. Hoffberger Moving Services came to the shelter’s rescue by donating a truck and a driver to help with the transport. It was a huge task moving not just the animals, but food, crates, cages, and other necessary supplies. We would not have been able to do it without the help of our friends at Hoffberger- Thanks Margaret and Michael!

To: Brian Quinn

U.S. General Services Administration

Philadelphia, PA  19107

Dear Brian:

On behalf of Heery and our consultant Fox RPM, we want to express to GSA our appreciation for the dedication and determination with which Hoffberger Moving Services (HMS) approached the Social Security Administation Wabash Complex relocation.

The Heery/Fox team acknowledges our skepticism at the outset; however, now that the moves are complete, we are pleased to say that HMS performed admirably and met all schedule milestones.  HMS faced challenges and modifications at each origin location in addition to the Wabash Complex where procedures, still in their infancy, presented other setbacks. In all cases they were handled professionally. When issues presented potential time delays, tasks were quickly refocused to maintain progress.

While the entire HMS team should be congratulated on their sucessful effort, Heery/Fox wishes to extend specific praise and thanks to Project Manager, Sean for his outstanding performance. His staff leadership, concurrent management of move activity at multiple locations, and ability to respond to changing paramenters without objection are a testament to HMS’ success.

Please convey our sincere thanks for a job well done.

Sincerely,

Fox RPM Corp. – Social Security Administration- Wabash Complex

Baltimore, MD

To: Laura Klassen, Heery International, Inc.

Laura, I wanted to send a note letting HEERY know how impressed Fox RPM Corp was with Hoffberger Moving Services (HMS) for the Social Security Administration relocation. HMS went above and beyond to complete a challenging move successfully and professionally. Throughout the project they effectively worked around loading dock issues at Wabash and Metro West, the addition of multiple items to be relocated during each phase, field changes to the file room plans during the microfilm moves and much more. HMS never complained but rather dealt with each issue as it came up and took care of them very professionally with nominal disruption to the move activity. The crews assigned to this project did such an amazing job that there was not one missing item during all 9 phases.

Sincerely,

Chris Miller, Sr. Project Manager, Fox RPM Corp.
