Books are transferred using custom-built library carts, sized to match standard shelving for seamless re-shelving. Each shelf and cart is carefully labeled to maintain exact book order. All carts are securely shrink-wrapped for transit protection.
In addition to the books, we’ll handle the dismantling and reassembly of existing shelving, the installation of new shelving systems, and the relocation of office furniture, reading rook desks, workstations and equipment.
Rare or fragile books are treated like museum artifacts and handled by our expert, white-glove technicians. We’ll individually wrap items in acid-free paper, with added protection of cotton padding or archival boxes.
Moisture destroys books. That’s why we operate a completely climate-controlled warehouse facility. We can store books for months at a time, as libraries renovate space or prepare to move from an old building to a new building under construction.
